Safetylyne had the privilege of working on a new $87m retail destination and dining precinct located in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The first-of-its-kind centre boasts contemporary architectural features with a detailed finish. Dealing with many contractors at the site and an aggressive deadline, Safetylyne worked closely with the contract administrator to create an effective plan that minimised risk and delivered a quality custom-built solution.
The client’s requirements included:
- Highly detailed metalwork scope
- Fast turnaround from shop drawings to install
- High-quality finish to installations, being in a public use area
- Strict adherence to budget
Collaboration between the on-site project team and Safetylyne’s in-house experts helped to quickly overcome several challenges that came up during construction. These challenges included last-minute changes and additions to scope, as well as engineering a custom bollard solution and pedestrian swale crossovers to eliminate unforeseen risks with civil layouts. Safetylyne’s partnered approach kept the project on schedule and to spec, while also reducing risk for the client.
Products supplied on this project included:
- Balustrades and handrails
- Trolley bays
- Bollards
- Feature screens
- Bike racks
- Internal corner guards and crash rails
- Roof safety system
- Louvre doors and gates
From design to installation, the Safetylyne team delivered a quality one-stop shop, value-engineered metalwork solution, prompt defect resolution, and zero lost-time injuries. For their efforts as part of the retail shopping precinct project, they received an excellent review from the client. If you’re a contracts administrator that has an access problem, Safetylyne has a solution for you. Safetylyne is Access Solved.
